Las Vegas to host energy conference, exposition

Marketing U.S. alternative energy technologies to emerging markets will be a focus of the nation's premier energy conference and exposition on renewable and sustainable technologies, GlobeEx (the Global Energy Exposition). GlobeEx along with the International Energy Foundation's ENERGEX 2000 will convene in Las Vegas, Nev., July 23-28, 2000.

More than a thousand energy professionals, senior government leaders, and commercial energy industry representatives are expected to attend both events. Well-known speakers include Secretary of Energy Bill Richardson, Christopher Flavin of the Worldwatch Institute, Admiral Richard Truly of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Kun Mo Chung of the International Nuclear Energy Academy, and Time Mackay of the Commonwealth Department of Energy, Australia.

The highlight of the combined GlobeEx and ENERGEX 2000 events is a two-day trade explosion focusing on alternative, renewable, and sustainable energy technologies for residential and public facilities. Many manufacturers and distributors of alternative energy products, consultants and contractors, U.S. national laboratories, university research departments, and private entrepreneurs will attend this trade exhibition.

For more information on the GlobeEx trade exhibition or how to submit a paper for ENERGEX 2000, contact Ms. Kathleen J. Moon, PGI Exhibitions, Conference Management, 8989 Rio San Diego Drive, Suite 160, San Diego, CA 92108; phone: 619/294-2999 ext. 140; e-mail: kmoon@PGI.com.
