Evaluation of Environmental Technology Changes Proposed for the La Oroya Smelter Complex in Central Peru: Final Report

The Center Notes from the Spring 1999 issue of The Workbook summarizes SRIC's technical assistance at a Peru smelter during a site visit and technical review of the la Oroya smelter complex, a major facility in the Andes recently purchased by the US firm, Doe Run Corp.

An extensive report was submitted in February 1999 to Sociedad Peruana de Derechos Ambientales (SPDA) in Lima, Peru and Asociación Interamericana para la Defensa del Medio Ambiente - (AIDA) c/o Earthjustice Legal Defense Fund, San Francisco, CA, USA.
